Queremos dividir a maravilhosa noticia e honra que pelo 38º Aniversário do Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto, foi feita e concedida a nossa Presidente da Associação a Nadadora Olímpica de Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 e Sydney 2000, por nomearem a Piscina reabilitada do Codem com o Seu Nome Piscina "Nádia Cruz".

A Nadadora agradeceu com breves palavras:

" É com grande satisfação e gratidão que recebo este galardão de ver a piscina do meu primeiro e maior clube ter e receber hoje o meu nome, sonhava um dia ter uma escola de Natação com o meu nome mas ver uma piscina de um clube com o meu nome nunca imaginei.  

Quero agradecer a honra e o privilégio por ter sido escolhida e nomeada para tão grande credibilidade concedida, pois hoje é mais uma responsabilidade ganha e uma nova missão no codem e no clube da qual lutou para estarmos hoje aqui e sermos independentes.

Gostava de dividir este galardão com os demais nadadores que concerteza também tem o mérito para aqui ter o seu nome e dedicar está honra ao Meu Pai o Fuba nome conhecido nos campos de futebol, o Gustavo Cruz ou somente o Cruz como todos o conhecem e tratam que me ensinou a nadar, que me guiou e guiou a família e famílias à prática desportiva e ao codem da qual durante anos e horas brincamos praticamos desporto rimos choramos perdemos e vencemos.

A todos que também me ajudaram e fizeram parte da minha carreira um muito muito obrigado pois sem vocês a missão e o plano não teria sido possível, Obrigado aos que acreditaram e investiram em mim.

A Deus toda a honra e glória porque como ele diz aquilo quem nem nossos olhos viram, nossos ouvidos ouviram e nosso coração imagina são as coisas que deus tem preparados para os que o amam, Ámen

No decorrer das comemorações que contaram com a presença de Mais Altos Dignitários do Executivo, Membros das Forças Armadas, Defesa Nacional, Deputados, Presidentes, Dirigentes e familiares do 1 de Agosto, foi feita uma visita ao Novo Centro Desportivo do Clube, da qual foi lançada a primeira pedra da construção da escola do 1º de Agosto, visitou-se o Internato, assistiu se a momentos culturais dos atletas e ainda ao jogo da final de futebol da 9º edição do Torneio quadrangular "Tio Armindo" sub 17.

O Clube ofereceu um almoço para os sócios e convidados de honram na qual homenageou a Equipa Feminina de Andebol que se consagrou pela 3 vez consecutiva Campeãs Africanas de Clubes e a equipa de Basquetebol Feminina que venceu esta ano o Nacional.

Muitos Parabéns a Todos e em Especial a nossa Presidente Nádia Cruz pela Honra, a semelhança da qual foi dada ao nosso atleta de Basquetebol Jean Jacques da Conceição.

Dear Olympic Family,

We want to share the wonderful news and honor for the 38th anniversary of 1º Agosto Sport Club has made and granted our President of the Association of the Olympic swimmer Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000, by appointing the rehabilitated pool of Codem Pool with His Name "Nadia Cruz".

The swimmer thanked him with a few words:

"It is with great satisfaction and gratitude I receive this award to see the pool from my first and biggest club have today and receive my name, dreamed of one day having a school of swimming with my name but see a pool of a club with my name never imagined.

I want to thank the honor and privilege to have been chosen and named for granted so great credibility because today is more a responsibility wins and a new mission in CODEM and the club which fought for being here today and be independent.

I like to share this award with the other swimmers who surely also has the merit to have here your name and dedicate the honor is My Father Fuba known name on the football field, Gustavo Cruz or only the Cross as we all know and treat who taught me to swim, which led me and guided the family and families to sports and CODEM which for years and hours played practice sport laugh cry lost and won.

To all who have also helped me and made part of my career a very thank you because without you the mission and the plan would not have been possible Thanks to those who believed and invested in me.

During the celebrations that were attended of Higher Dignitaries Executive Members of the Armed Forces, National Defence, Deputies, Presidents, Directors and relatives of August 1 was made a visit to New Sports Centre Club, which launched the first school building stone of 1st August, visited the boarding school, attended the cultural moments of the athletes and even the end of the game football's 9th edition of the quadrangular tournament "Uncle Armindo" sub 17.

The club hosted a luncheon for members and guests of honor in which honored the Women's Handball Team that was consecrated by three consecutive African Champions Clubs and Women's Basketball team that won this year's National.

Congratulations to all our Special and President Nadia Cross for Honour, the likeness of which was given to our Basketball player Jean Jacques da Conceição.
